Red Iron Architects currently is seeking an Architect Intern to become part of our team in Charleston, SC. The qualified candidate will help assist and participate in the production of construction documents for a variety of projects, including education, commercial, and residential. Candidate should have some office experience and be self-motivated.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare construction documents
• Support Project Manager(s) in project development
• Participate in all contract document phase activities
• Researching of products and systems that accomplish the design intent
• Assist in site visit and field survey documentation
• Attend project meetings; prepare meeting minutes and agendas
• Coordinate drawings with project consultants
• Assist in marketing with presentations and/or interviews

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
• 2-5 years’ experience in an architecture firm
• Excellent communication skills with attention to details
• Strong to desire to work in a team environment
• Willingness to learn new skills and processes
• Autodesk Revit proficiency
• Working knowledge of MS Office Applications, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook
• Familiarity with AutoCad, Photoshop, Sketchup, and Adobe suite
