April 14, 2014 Clayton Homes Internship + Scholarship

The College of Architecture & Design is very proud to announce a new partnership with Clayton Homes.  This summer, a student of architecture will spend up to 13 weeks as a paid team member in a national modular and manufactured home-building company. Structured as a series of “Exposure Stations,” the intern will experience a number of different facets of the industry including cost estimating, design, graphics / marketing, engineering and plant & facility visits.  In addition to the internship experience, Clayton Homes will also provide a $1000 scholarship. Clayton Homes has had an ongoing relationship with the College, most notably their role in the New Norris House Design/BuildEvaluate Initiative.  Professor Stuth continues to work closely with Clayton and is currently dreaming up the next exciting studio experience. Applications for this Summer Work Experience and Scholarship will be accepted until April 21st.  An internal School of Architecture committee will review submissions and nominate 3-5 students for consideration by Clayton Homes.   Please see the application guidelines for more details.
