Kevin Stevens

Courses Taught

Kevin is a Lecturer, Adjunct Assistant Professor and teaches courses in architectural design, building technology, and professional practice.

Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Tennessee Kevin was and Associate Professor in the School of Architecture at Louisiana Tech University where he taught for 11 years. His teaching there focused on 4th and 5th year professional concentration studios and included six years leading the design/build program.

Practice

Kevin’s professional background prior to pursuing a career in teaching includes over eleven years of experience working in firms in Houston and San Francisco on projects types including planning, custom residential, large scale commercial, and research facilities. Since entering academia he has maintained a small, active practice focusing on residential and small commercial projects with Lisa Mullikin.

Education

Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture (1990) and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History (1991) from the University of Maryland College Park in addition to a Master of Architecture from Rice University (1993).
