The College of Architecture and Design is involved in numerous research and outreach efforts working to improve the state, region and country.
The college has four established Research and Outreach Centers: The Design Build Evaluate Initiative, The Institute for Smart Structures (ISS), The Nashville Civic Design Center (NCDC), and The Urban Program in Sustainable Design Education (UPSIDE).
From building an “off the grid” solar-powered house to improving one of Tennessee’s state parks, the college’s faculty and students are involved in a number of building projects across the state and region. Explore one of the many categories listed to the left.
