During its Honors Convocation event in late April, the College of Architecture and Design celebrated the design excellence of students.  The event gave college faculty and administrators, as well as students and families, the chance to recognize scholarship winners and students whose design work during the 2015-2016 school year was exemplary.

The college also recognized James Rose as the H. Patrick Lawson Teacher Award recipient and recognized Thelma Hilton for giving 55 years of service to the university.  Additionally, students in the Tau Sigma Delta organization presented the Tau Sigma Delta Silver Medal to Gary Gaston, Executive Director of the Nashville Civic Design Center, for his extraordinary efforts to advance the field of design in the region.

Honors Convocation was held on April 29 at Jackson Terminal in downtown Knoxville.  Close to 215 people came together to celebrate the excellence of the College of Architecture and Design.

The college thanks UT Federal Credit Union for sponsoring the reception.
