Ricardo de Ostos representation of scavengers and other creatures in promised lands

Join us for a public lecture by Ricardo de Ostos, University College London Bartlett School of Architecture, Naja & deOstos, on Monday, Sept. 9, 2019.

De Ostos will present a lecture entitled, “Scavengers and Other Creatures in Promised Lands,” about how storytelling, collapsing environments and innovative design shape an understanding of the built environment. For the past 10 years, de Ostos and Nannette Jackowski have led a research studio about this topic at the Architectural Association School in London, focusing on how cultural practices and time-dependent spaces create a new set of architectural responses.

This lecture is funded by the Robert B. Church Memorial Lecture fund.

Unless otherwise noted, lectures begin at 5:30 p.m. in Rm. 109/McCarty Auditorium in the Art + Architecture Building, 1715 Volunteer Blvd. All are welcome.
