Established in honor of the School of Architecture’s former director, Max Robinson, the MAX_minimum Design Competition is a recurring annual design competition for all students of the College of Architecture and Design. MAX_min 2016 launches at 5:30 p.m., Jan. 14, in the atrium of the Art + Architecture Building. Student designs are due by midnight, Jan. 19.
MAX_min encourages collaboration and design thinking to reach conceptual and pragmatic design excellence in projects that meet the greatest impact on the design environment with the least possible means. Students are grouped into interdisciplinary teams to create projects that leverage the potential of design thinking to creatively impact the College of Architecture and Design, the University of Tennessee and the state of Tennessee.
