Spring 2022 Lecture: Cote
April 18 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pmNo cost
Join us for our 2021-2022 lecture series Apr. 18, 5:30 p.m., for an in-person lecture featuring Christopher Cote, 2019-2021 Fellow and Lecturer in our School of Design.
The lecture, “Making Public: Investigating What Publishing is, Means, and Can Be,” which is a product of Cote’s Graphic Design Fellowship in the School of Design, will share publishing outcomes and processes that reveal unique and possibly more engaging experiences, interactions and connections made possible through publishing.
When people think of publishing, many think of static objects. Posters, books, magazines, scholarly journals, newspapers, online posts, etc. Yet its Latin origin, publicare meaning “to make public,” frames publishing as an open-ended process that may include many collaborators, contexts, distribution methods, interactions or performances.
Can’t attend? Watch the livestreamed lecture.
