Summer Program for Graduate Students and Undergraduate Transfers Begins
June 3, 2013Free
The summer program, nine weeks in duration, is structured as two four-week modules that bookend a Study Tour Week. Last year we focused on Urban and Campus Design, traveling to the University of Cincinnati, Detroit, and Cranbrook Academy in Bloomfield Hills Michigan. This year, the students will travel to Manhattan to tour the new Le Corbusier: An Atlas of Modern Landscapes exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art that opens June 15.
The Study Tour is an integral part of the Summer Program curriculum, which emphasizes “basic design” and skills development inclusive of the three core disciplines that comprise our college: architecture, landscape architecture, and interior design. The Summer Program faculty teach in all four of our degree-granting programs.
Tuition and enrollment is required to participate. The travel week to Manhattan is included in these expenses. Inquiries regarding the Summer Program should be directed to George Dodds, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Research.
