Design Matters! Camp 2019
Design Matters! Camp, July 14-20, 2019, is a week-long design-immersion camp for high school students. Rising freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors in high school are invited to spent a week with us on the amazing UT campus to learn about design and their place in it. Big Orange Give: 1 Day. $2.25 Million.
Big Orange Give is the university's annual day of giving to support student scholarships, technology, infrastructure, faculty support, study abroad and more. From 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Nov. 13, you can make any size gift to any area of campus you choose to support Big Orange Give. Chancellor Donde Plowman announced on Oct. 2 that in-person commencement will take place between Nov. 19-22. These ceremonies, to be held in Thompson-Boling Arena, will celebrate spring, summer and fall 2020 graduates. Numbers of guests will be limited, and other safety measures will be in place. Exhibition: Learning from Piranesi
October 4, 2020, marks the 300th birth anniversary of Giovanni Battista Piranesi (1720-78), the celebrated Venetian-born Roman architect, delineator and theorist. Piranesi’s work influenced generations of architects and painters, in his own time and centuries later. An exhibition, Learning from Piranesi: Architectural Representation and Tectonics, celebrates the 300th birth anniversary of Giovanni Battista Piranesi.
