Garry Menendez

Associate Professor, Dept. of Plant Sciences

Garry Menendez is a registered landscape architect and Associate Professor of Landscape Design at the University of Tennessee. He teaches courses in Advanced Landscape Design, Landscape Design Graphics, Planting Design, Native Plants & Plant Communities of Tennessee, Professional Practice, and has led students since 2006 on study abroad trips to numerous European countries. He has received awards for outstanding teaching, advising, outreach and writing. When he is not teaching or advising he maintains a private practice consulting in landscape architecture focusing on residential and small commercial design. Articles that he has written have appeared in “Landscape Design”, “Landscape & Irrigation”, “Garden Guide”, “Landscape & Nursery Digest”, “The Trellis” & “Tennessee Gardener”.
