December 2, 2014 2014-15 Faculty Development Grants

Six proposals for the National Conference on the Beginning Design Student were reviewed by John Reynolds, Associate Professor of Architecture and Interior Design at Miami University of Ohio, and Steve Temple, Associate Professor of Architecture and Interior Design, at the University of Texas, San Antonio.

The grantees were:

Professors Mark DeKay and Hansjoerg Goeritz

Assistant Professor Liz Teston

Assistant Professor Jennifer Akerman

Each will receive funds for travel to the NCBDS conference and related expenses or research related expenses if not selected for participation in the NCBDS.

Award Period: December 1, 2014 – November 30th 2015.

Eleven proposals in the Open Category were reviewed by M. Elen Deming, Professor of Landscape Architecture at the University of Illinois and Anselmo Canfora, Associate Professor of Architecture at the University of Virginia.

The grantees were:

Associate Professor Katherine Ambroziak

Associate Professor Gregor Kalas

Professor Mark DeKay and John McRae (tie)

Each will receive funds for research related travel to conferences or research related expenses.

Award Period: December 1, 2014 – November 30th 2015.
