May 7, 2020 2019-2020 Awards Reflect Outstanding Work
From awards given by the college, to honors bestowed by the university. From local design awards to international recognition, our faculty, staff and students excelled in 2019-2020.
During our End-of-Year Celebration and Awards virtual event on May 7, Dean Scott Poole along with directors of our schools of Architecture, Interior Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Design announced multiple awards to much cheering and applause.
We had three special guests on the Zoom event:
- Jordan Goldstein, FAIA, Principal & Global Director of Design for Gensler, who announced the student teams who were chosen as the best in our inaugural Gensler Research Studio, a collaboration of students from Architecture and Interior Architecture
- David Bailey (B.Arch ’93) Principal of Hastings Architecture in Nashville, who was named as the 2020 Tau Sigma Delta Silver Medal recipient in recognition of his professional distinction; passion for design, community and environment; leadership; and service to the college
- Karli Carter from Crossville Tile, who presented awards to students from the Crossville Tile Interior Architecture Studio
Congratulations to all award winners!
