September 9, 2019 Diversity Come Together A+A Photo Gallery

On September 9, 2019, we partnered with our friends in the School of Art to host our first Diversity Come Together event that invited all students, faculty and staff in the A+A building to come together to celebrate the building’s diversity.

Positive, encouraging messages of inclusion were painted on one of our walls as a long-lasting reminder of our commitment to a culture of respect.

The School of Art’s Printmaking Program set up a large inflatable, printed sphere created in collaboration with Cannonball Press from  Brooklyn, NY. The sphere includes relief-printed images of the constellations.

Much like UT’s famous Rock, we encourage the people in the A+A to update and change the wall throughout the year. This wall belongs to you.

We thank Graphic Design student, Johnathan Woods, for creating the “Diversity is…” image for the wall and School of Art students for painting it there.

Watch for more diversity and inclusion events, presentations and more, as this is one of many of our previous and future efforts to honor our diversity.

We’re better together.
