Program Overview   

The Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture is a four-year program that leads to professional practice upon graduation. 

We have three paths to provide greater opportunity for your career goals. In addition to the BSIA, we offer two additional degree options to prepare students for an accelerated master’s degree in either architecture or landscape architecture.

Interior Designer

Interior designers create functional, aesthetically engaging spaces that support the needs and experiences of diverse populations. An interior architecture degree develops skills in three-dimensional spatial-planning, material selection, lighting design, building codes, and client collaboration, preparing graduates to design environments that are both beautiful and practical.

Furniture Designer

Furniture designers create functional, innovative furnishings that enhance the comfort, usability, and character of interior environments. An interior architecture degree develops skills in design development, materials and fabrication methods, ergonomics, digital modeling, and visual communication, preparing graduates to design furniture solutions that balance aesthetics, performance, and user needs.

Residential Design Consultant

Residential design consultants manage the design process for residential projects, facilitating communication among clients, designers, contractors, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery. An interior architecture degree develops skills in project coordination, material selection, and client communication, preparing graduates to guide projects from concept through implementation while balancing design intent, budget, and project requirements.
