October 27, 2014 Office of Undergraduate Research Presentation

The College of Architecture and Design would like to invite you to a lunch presentation by Dr. Marisa Moazen on October 29th at 12:15- 1:15 in the Art and Architecture Building Room 103B. TK Davis has made this arrangement possible and can probably answer any specific questions you might have beforehand.

Dr.Taylor Eighmy became Vice Chancellor for Research & Engagement at the start of academic year 2013-2014, and quickly conveyed that advancing undergraduate research was one of his high priorities.  As such, beginning academic year 2014-15, he has appointed Dr. Marisa Moazen Director of the Office of Undergraduate Research.  Dr. Moazen recently presented her draft of Strategic Priorities and Goals to the University’s Undergraduate Research Advisory Committee (TK Davis, College of Architecture and Design Undergraduate Research Representative), as well as to Dr. Eighmy.

Both Dr. Eighmy and the Committee have endorsed these Strategic Priorities and Goals, which align closely with our College’s history and strengths.  Dr. Moazen has graciously offered to meet with interested members of our College’s faculty to review these Priorities and Goals

Additional topics of discussion could include EUREcA (the annual Exhibition of Undergraduate Research and Creative Achievement), Undergraduate Summer Research Internships, Posters on the Hill, Pursuit (the Undergraduate Research Journal), Research Week, and the Undergraduate Research Symposium.

Lunch from Panera will be available during the meeting, with an RSVP for lunch requested to Vanessa Arthur no later than Monday, October 27th at 5 PM.
