The College of Architecture and Design supports matriculated Vols financially through scholarships and other opportunities. 

The Cost of Attending

The cost of attending our programs require students purchase a laptop with software and hardware specifications that will enable them to be productive through the entire duration of their education. Specifications are released yearly in the spring.

In addition to that one-time purchase, students can expect annual costs for books, materials, printing, and plotting. Undergraduates should plan on budgeting roughly $1,598, while graduate students should plan for $1,880.

One Stop Student Services provides a detailed breakdown of current undergraduate and graduate tuition, differential tuition, mandatory fees, and other fees that may appear on your student account. They also offer outline a detailed budget of non-billable expenses students may incur in our programs.

College Scholarships 

Each spring, our schools present scholarships and financial aid, applied to the following school year, to students who have applied for merit and need-based awards. The number of scholarships and size of financial awards vary. 

Giving Thanks

When you receive a scholarship from the college, we encourage you to write a letter of appreciation to the individual or organization who made the award possible. Our college hosts donor-scholar luncheons on a regular basis to connect the student with the donor who made the award possible.

Graduate Assistantships 

In addition to assistantships offered by our schools, opportunities for graduate students are offered by other academic departments and administrative offices at the university.

Graduate Fellowships 

Fellowships are a form of non-working financial aid offered to graduate students who are nominated by their college.

Work-Study Program
