October 30, 2020 IA Collaborative Shows Sweet Appreciation for Essential Workers

This month, students in IA Collaborative put together goodie bags to show their appreciation for the essential workers in the Art + Architecture building.

Delaney O’Brien, philanthropy chair for the organization, and other members created Halloween-themed treats for the eight essential maintenance and custodial workers and delivered them in time for Halloween. The bags were filled with sweet treats and notes of appreciation.

“I felt inspired to give a simple token of appreciation to acknowledge all of the workers’ hard work in keeping this building open and safe for students,” O’Brien said. “The Art and Architecture building is like a second home to me and so many other students, and without these essential workers we would not be able to come to this space. We are all very grateful for their hard work, and we hope the goodie bags will show them how thankful we are!”

IA Collaborative is a newly revamped professional club for students in the School of Interior Architecture. The organization provides professional development opportunities, assists in school work and provides volunteering opportunities.
