DIGITAL FABRICATION MANAGER

BLOX is looking for a smart, nimble and talented problem solver to lead the formation of our Digital Fabrication and Robotic lab. The position is responsible for R&D, procurement and leading the implementation of automated construction practices within the Design Manufacturing and Construction approach to building. This is a challenging and critical project within the company and the candidate will have significant opportunity for growth.

Individual must be hands-on problem solvers, personally driven to make everything around them better, be able to visualize in 3D, work independently and within a team. Ideally, individual need to be comfortable in a start-up environment (i.e. flexible, creative, pro-active, responsive, good sense of humor, and able to deal with ambiguity), process oriented, computer savvy, mechanically inclined and willing to learn new things.

We are currently seeking passionate architects with a penchant for detailed problem solving and 1 – 10 years of experience to help launch and manage our digital fabrication lab. Proficiency in 3D printing applications and hardware, AutoCAD and Revit are required; strong conceptual, technical, and graphic skills are desired, along with the ability to work in a variety of roles within a quickly evolving practice.
