Faculty, staff and students: Come celebrate at Brag + Blues, April 29!

Come together to celebrate the end of another spectacular year!  Everyone in the college is invited to come celebrate at Brag + Blues, the college’s end-of-the-year brag-fest.  Come fill your mouth with the best Southern comfort foods this side of the Mississippi Delta and cheer as students and faculty are recognized for outstanding work this year.

Brag + Blues will take place on Monday, April 29, 4-6 p.m., right here in the A+A atrium.  You don’t need to RSVP.  You just need to show up.

Everyone in the college–not just award winners–is invited to come celebrate the year.  In the past, the college recognized award winners in an invitation-only event.  No more!  Our culture demands an all-come celebration!  The best part is, it’s free.

Why is it called Brag + Blues?

We started this incredible end-of-the-year celebration three years ago, and for the first two years, it was Brag + Boil in honor of the shrimp boil menu.  Last year, you voted on what “B” we’d be this year, and “Blues” was the clear favorite.  At Brag + Blues, we’ll obviously be braggin’ on you…a lot…and we’ll all be enjoying the best Southern comfort foods you’ve ever tasted right here in the A+A.

You’ll enjoy shrimp and grits, ham and sweet potato biscuits, fried green tomatoes, amazing desserts and much more.  Great vegetarian and gluten-free options will be available, too.

Music!  Food!  Awards!  Wear your casual attire, bring your appetite and come celebrate together.  It’s an end-of-the-year celebration no one in the college should miss.
