Passionate custom home builder is seeking a progressive architecture student to compose plans for personal family residence. The ideal candidate will recognize a home is more than a masterpiece in their portfolio, and their vision should illustrate that it’s a gathering place filled with an abundance of memories and each day is creating a legacy of enjoyment.
The innovative project will involve creating plans from concept to final drawing for a modern Georgian home of 3,500 to 4,000 square feet plus a basement. Candidate should possess the ability to translate the structure so that it meets the needs of a budding family all the while creating a home respectful of the seven-acre countryside estate. The house seat will be located atop a hill with landscaped grounds in abundance. The rear of the home will have Southern exposure allowing for passive solar. While the latest building science and environmental advances will be enthusiastically considered, they will be subject to lifestyle needs, esthetics, cost and payback period. Anticipated ground breaking is late summer of 2017.
