January 9, 2020 DeKay Named Guest Co-editor of Sustainability Journal
Professor Mark DeKay has been named a guest co-editor of a special issue of Sustainability, an international open-source, research-focused journal. DeKay will share the editing role with Prof. Rob Fleming, Jefferson University in Philadelphia.
Focused on “Integral Approaches to Sustainable Design Research and Practice,” the special issue will feature peer-reviewed articles that express broad approaches to research and will cover topics such as integral sustainable design, integral theory and multi-perspective research approaches to enhance understanding of sustainability.
“Integral sustainable design is a transformative framework that helps organize thinking, research and design to achieve high levels of performance, ecologically integrated solutions, culturally connected initiatives and green design aesthetics,” said DeKay and Fleming.
Manuscript submissions are due Feb. 28, 2021, with an anticipated publication date later that year.
