2020 End-of-Year Celebration and Awards

The spring 2020 semester took a sharp turn in March, when coronavirus forced remote teaching and learning.  Everyone had to learn a new way to live by the 6-foot rule. The transition was challenging at best.

Even as we near the end of the school year, many in our college still are struggling. Parents have lost jobs. Graduating students have lost job offers, and other students have lost internships. Financial burdens, difficulties in living situations, online final exams and remaining uncertainty about COVID-19 keep many of us on edge.

Because many in our college family are still greatly impacted by COVID-19 and because we cannot be together on campus, this year’s end-of-year, all-college celebration called Brag + B will not happen.

But that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate together in two exciting ways:

• On May 7, everyone in the college will come together virtually following commencement to hear inspiring words from our college leaders and celebrate student and faculty awards. The event will begin at 11:00 a.m. ET. Check your e-mail for the Zoom link and password.
• Around May 17, all students in the college will receive a special mailing containing meaningful items that uplift our college’s amazing creative culture. Haven’t received your package by May 23? Contact Jenny Flatford. [Because of limits of inventory and delays in shipping, we had to change our original plan and add a few days to the delivery time for your package…but don’t worry, it will arrive!]

We must be separated by miles, but we won’t be separated in spirit.
