Description:

Beatriz Colomina will present “Eileen Gray and Le Corbusier: The Sexual Politics of Modern Architecture.”  Colomina is a professor of architecture and founding director of the program in media and modernity at Princeton University. She is the author of several books including Privacy and Publicity: Modern Architecture as Mass Media, which was awarded the 1995 International Book Award by the American Institute of Architects and has been published in nine languages. She’s also authored Sexuality and Space which received the 1993 International Book Award from the American Institute of Architects, and Domesticity at War. Her most recent book Manifesto Architecture was published this year.
