Church Lecturer: Patty Hopkins

Join us for the Church Lecture with Patty Hopkins on Monday, November 03 at 5:40 p.m. in McCarty Auditorium of the Art + Architecture Building. A reception will precede the event.
Free and open to the public, “Hopkins Architects – the Early Years” is part of the University of Tennessee Robert B. Church III Memorial Lecture Series. The event will be webcast here.
Students and faculty are also invited to a special lunch discussion with Lady Patty Hopkins on Monday, 12:15-1:15 p.m. in the Reading Room. The event is hosted by multidisciplinary student organization IMPRINT.
Hopkins co-founded Hopkins Architects in 1976 with partner Michael Hopkins. She became an honorary fellow of the Royal Institute of Architects in Scotland in 1996 and the American Institute of Architects in 1997. She is a trustee of the National Gallery and member of the Architectural Association. Her practice has won numerous awards for its work, and has twice been shortlisted for the Stirling Prize, including in 2011 for the 2012 London Velodrome and in 2006 for Evelina Children’s Hospital. Hopkins Architects was awarded the Royal Institute of British Architects Royal Gold Medal in 1994
