Final Reviews: Landscape Architecture
December 1, 2014 @ 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Monday, December 1 1-6
LAR 551_Friedmann
In a series of projects students discovered, documented, and amplified an urban exploitative ecology to create a reverse-adaptation artifact — an artifact that serves to adapt the urban environment to an animal. In the final project, students are asked how this artifact designed for an animal may be deployed to facilitate new experiences for humans inhabiting the urban environment. The resultant installations are agents of provocation. They are a declaration for a new urban experience — a call for species equality, a call for spatial and formal diversity.
