In summary: the AIA Review will be held Tuesday, March 04 from 6-9pm at 525 N. Gay Street in downtown Knoxville. All are invited to attend. Dress: business attire. Hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be served.
To those students exhibiting (all graduating students and those students in associated projects): you are responsible for reviewing the attached PDF explaining print deadlines, arrival procedures, event schedule and general information about what to expect at the event.
To those of you unfamiliar with the event: you may also wish to review the attached PDF. Generally speaking:
Since 1993, the February or March meeting of AIA East Tennessee has been the “Midterm Reviews”, in which regional professionals talk to the students about their work in progress, in an informal setting. This seems to be a very popular event, and, typically, about one hundred regional professionals drop by. Many recent graduates make a point of visiting the reviews, to see the current student work. This is something of a cross between a jury and a cocktail party: you should be professional in discussing your work with visiting professionals, in an informal, one-on-one relaxed atmosphere.”
On behalf of the review planning team, I would like to thank all of you in advance for your help and participation in this review, without which, it could not happen. This has been and will be an enjoyable event and we are proud to have yet another venue to place the exceptional work of our College on display to the larger community.
