Our 2020-2021 lecture series continues on Feb. 22, 2021, 6:30 p.m. ET, with a lecture featuring Dan Wheeler, FAIA. Wheeler is a professor of Architecture at University of Illinois at Chicago and principal of Wheeler Kearns Architects.
Wheeler will lecture on “ON INFLUENCE.” In this talk, he will discuss how our personal encounters with people, places, spaces, materials and histories transform us and subsequently our work. Using examples from inside and outside of his practice, Wheeler will illustrate the importance of personal experience and influence–from childhood and beyond–in the evolution and definition of (y)our mission and purpose in a world that is often found grey. A rallying cry for the importance of architecture.
The lecture will be livestreamed. On Feb. 22, click above and check our Facebook page for the link to be connected.
This lecture is funded by the Robert B. Church III Memorial Lecture Fund.
