Panel: Exploring Live/Work Space for Artists in Downtown Knoxville

FreeThe University of Tennessee’s College of Architecture & Design and members of the Arts & Culture Alliance will host a panel discussion on Wednesday, August 28, 2:00-3:30 p.m. at the Emporium Center, 100 S. Gay Street.
Invited Panelists:

- Sarah Holland – Painting Artist
- Marilyn Kallet – UT faculty/English/Poetry
- Tony Lawson – Program Director, WDVX
- Mike Robinson – Ceramic Artist
- Karla Wozniak – UT faculty/School of Art/painting
Moderator: Liza Zenni, Executive Director of the Arts & Culture Alliance
Each panelist will speak briefly about the idea from their perspective and then have a dialogue (with Q&A) from the audience. The event is coordinated by Professor John McRae, FAIA.
The event relates to McRae’s fifth-year studio which is exploring a “live/work arts facility for downtown Knoxville, to include a range of the arts/music as yet not determined, plus housing, ancillary and support facilities for the arts, appropriate commercial and other related functions.”
