Top Donors What's your story?

What makes someone decide to give?

It’s a personal decision.  Giving is.  And you want to make sure your gift is used to benefit others.  What’s the impact of your gift?

Good question.  We align your gift with your passions, your interests, your vision.  People give for many different reasons, but one thing is the same: Your gift makes a difference in the education and lives of future designers.

Meet the Boomhowers

Stephanie and Matthew Boomhower might now live in San Diego, but their roots remain right here in Big Orange Country. Both are graduates of UT, Matthew an alumnus of our School of Architecture, and Stephanie a graduate of the College of Arts and Sciences, they are generous supporters of our college.

Thank you for your support!

Robert B. Church Lecture Endowment

In 1974, Anne P. and Robert B. Church funded an endowed lecture, the Robert B. Church Memorial Lecture Fund. Because of the longevity and growth potential of an endowment, today the fund is responsible for bringing close to 300 top lecturers to the college and community.

BarberMcMurry Architects Endowed Professorship

The BarberMcMurry Architects Endowed Professorship promotes design excellence through teaching by an internationally recognized architect. The $1 million endowment is the result of a bequest from Blanche Barber and a match from BarberMcMurry architects, including alumni Kelly Headden (’88) and Charles Griffin (’84). BarberMcMurry Visiting Professors have included Larry Scarpa (2013), Wendell Burnette (2015) and Billie Faircloth (2018).

Aydelott Endowed Travel Award

Starting in 2016, the Aydelott Travel Award was established by the late Alfred Lewis Aydelott, FAIA, and his wife, Hope Galloway Aydelott, to enable students of architecture to engage in firsthand observation and research of any four architecturally significant structures across the world. Each year, the endowment provides more than $100,000 ($20,000 each with a possible additional $5,000 post travel) to four students currently enrolled in professional architecture degree programs at UT and three other SEC schools.

Thank you, donors, for enriching our college!
