Julie Kress

Tennessee Fellow

School of Architecture

Julie Kress is a Tennessee Fellow at the University of Tennessee’s College of Architecture and Design. Her work focuses on how to critically engage media associated with the gaming and film industries, within the context of architecture, aesthetics, and digital materiality.

Prior to joining UTK, she was a teaching fellow at Rhode Island School of Design, where she also earned her M.Arch and was the recipient of the Super Jury Thesis Award. She most recently practiced as an exhibition and digital experience designer for the firm IKD, and contributed to exhibitions featured at the Boston MFA and the MIT Museum.
