September 30, 2013 UT College of Architecture and Design to Host Open House Oct. 11

The College of Architecture and Design at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, will host an open house on Friday, Oct. 11.

The event, from 2 to 6:30 p.m., will give prospective undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to learn about the college’s programs in interior design, landscape architecture and architecture. Each program is accredited and is the highest ranked program of its kind in Tennessee.

Participants are encouraged to register by Oct. 9 at https://tiny.utk.edu/coad-openhouse.

The open house will offer potential students from high schools and universities across the country opportunities to meet current students and faculty, and learn about the integrative hands-on experiences unique to the college’s programs.

Open house activities will be held in the award-winning UT Art and Architecture Building and will include presentations by faculty and discussions with student leaders and program chairs. Participants also have the opportunity to attend a lecture at 5:30 p.m. with internationally recognized architect Inaqui Carnicero, who will be visiting from Madrid,
