BIG ORANGE AND BEYOND

Design Matters! Camp is hosted by the UT College of Architecture and Design in its award-winning building in the heart of UT’s Big Orange Country. It challenges motivated students to learn about how design can change the world and impact the built environment.

DO AS DESIGNERS DO

Throughout the week, students engage in a variety of activities that challenge their thinking about design, hands-on instruction in design, field trips to area locations for design interpretation and activities on the UT campus. They will learn more about design thinking and the many career options open to graduates with design degrees.

New this year, both overnight and day-camp options are available. Students who opt to stay overnight will stay in one of the well-appointed residence halls on UT’s campus.

Now in its ninth year, Design Matters! Camp is the only summer camp of its kind in the region. Registration has closed, but late registration will be considered through July 1, space allowing. Contact designmatters@utk.edu for information.
