All students are invited to attend workshops to prepare for Career Day, which is on Feb. 28.

Jan. 10 Zoom Workshop: Portfolio

At the Jan. 10, 1-2 p.m. ET, Zoom workshop, Kimberly Mitchell and Christopher Cote, instructors in Graphic Design, will present advice on preparing a portfolio for jobs and internships. The basic purpose of a portfolio, how to organize one and how to shape a physical and digital portfolio to show off your skills and voice as a designer will be covered. Not ready to look for a job or internship? It’s never too soon to start building your portfolio!

Jan. 13 Zoom Workshop: Resume

At the Jan. 13, 1-2 p.m. ET, Zoom workshop, Bukky Abdul and Julie Beckman will discuss priorities, format and presentation of your resume and experience. Just like your portfolio, don’t delay in creating your professional resume.

Career Day on Feb. 28, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., will be held in the UT Student Union ballroom and will include opportunities for you to interview, meet and network with dozens of firms from across the country.

Career Day is for all students in our college, not just those looking for internships or jobs after graduation. All students–no matter your year–can benefit from meeting and talking with professionals, asking questions about the industry and making connections.
