Career Day Workshop: Feedback Sessions

All students are invited to attend workshops to prepare for Career Day, which is on Feb. 28. Upcoming are feedback sessions.

FEEDBACK SESSIONS:

Bukky Abdul from the UT Center for Career Development and Julie Beckman, director of our Center for Student Development, are offering feedback sessions to help you prepare your resume, portfolio and more. See below for schedule. All sessions will be first-come, first-served and will be held in Student Development, Rm. 103.

• Monday, Jan 31 // 11 a.m.-1 p.m. with Bukky; 11 a.m.-12 p.m. with Julie
• Tuesday, Feb 1 // 11 a.m.-1 p.m. with Julie
• Wednesday, Feb 2 // 11 a.m.-1 p.m. with Bukky; 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. with Julie
• Thursday, Feb 3 // 10 a.m.-12 p.m. with Julie

Please have printed copies of resumes and/or work samples (or whatever you’d like us to see) with you so we can redline any edits/suggestions we have.

Feb. 13 Deadline

Students, be sure to submit the materials you want employers to see by Feb. 13, 9 p.m. Check e-mail from Julie Beckman for instructions.

Career Day on Feb. 28, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., will be held in the UT Student Union ballroom and will include opportunities for you to interview, meet and network with dozens of firms from across the country.

Career Day is for all students in our college, not just those looking for internships or jobs after graduation. All students–no matter your year–can benefit from meeting and talking with professionals, asking questions about the industry and making connections.
