Often, our students look at real-life problems and Often, our students look at real-life problems and generate practical solutions. Assistant Professor Kathy Wheeler led her second-year studio in researching how architecture adapts to a tropical climate and to actual sea-level rise while still satisfying the cultural and lifestyle needs of the local population Miami Beach, Florida. Our students were challenged to explore how architecture can adapt to tropical influences as well as what architecture can teach us about lifestyle.
